Ngorongoro 2-Day Trip: Sunrise on the Rim

Ngorongoro 2-Day Trip: Sunrise on the Rim safari in Tanzania
1 / 1

This short trip includes a night on the crater’s rim, so you can make the most of your safari time in Ngorongoro Crater, the unique Africa's safari destination. The drive from Arusha, your starting safari point, takes about 4.5–5 hours — and staying overnight in Ngorongoro gives you the perfect head start the next morning! The next morning, you will wake up early to catch the wildlife at its liveliest, before the crowds arrive. Ngorongoro Crater is the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera — and it’s home to over 25,000 animals year-round, including the rare black rhino. Here, the luckiest might even see all Big Five in a single day!

  • Tented lodges are the most common type of accommodation in savannah. Many of them work on solar energy.
