7-Day Eland: Lake Natron, Ngorongoro Crater and Serengeti

Eland safari in Tanzania
1 / 1

This seven-day safari program offers a richly diverse wildlife experience! You'll get a chance to see pink flamingos and pelicans in the otherworldly Lake Natron, nestled near the active Ol Doinyo Lengai volcano, a place so remote that very few have ventured there. You'll also visit the Ngorongoro Crater, a unique ecosystem enclosed within the walls of an ancient collapsed volcanic crater, and the grand Serengeti Valley, renowned for its migrating wildebeest and zebra herds, as well as its cheetahs and lion prides. Each park you visit is unique in its own way, so strap in for a whirlwind of incredible experiences! This program is ideal for July through October, when hundreds of flamingos flock to Lake Natron for breeding, and the Serengeti hosts its most anticipated event of the year - the Great Migration. While the basic itinerary on this website includes game drives in Seronera (central Serengeti), we can modify your accommodations and itinerary based on your travel dates to include other parts of the Serengeti, or add extra days in Kogatende (Northern Serengeti) for a chance to witness the dramatic wildebeests' river crossings at the Mara River in late July and August (price may change based on modifications - reach out to our travel managers to learn more!)
