You'll explore four distinct ecosystems — from forests and lakes to elephant-filled savannah. The parks are chosen for their richness and accessibility, which makes this itinerary especially rewarding without stretching the budget. The journey begins in Arusha National Park, a green world of Mt Meru rainforest slopes, lakes and bush, where you’ll enjoy a walking safari and a canoe ride across the Momella Lakes. Then comes Lake Manyara National Park, a more compact yet scenic haven with groundwater forests, flamingo-lined shores, and tree-climbing lions. A relaxed day in a classic safari vehicle is the perfect contrast after your active start in Arusha. For three nights, you’ll stay at Burunge Tented Lodge, your base for exploring Lake Manyara and Tarangire — a vast, golden savannah dotted with ancient baobabs and known for its large herds of elephants and dramatic dry-season riverbeds. One of your mornings here begins with a magical sunrise balloon flight, followed by a celebratory bush breakfast under the open sky. Your final night brings you to Tloma Lodge, near the Ngorongoro Crater. Exploring this lush, enclosed ecosystem brings you a chance to spot lions, zebras, buffalo, numerous antelope species, and even a rhino. A perfect scenic place to wrap up your safari adventure.

- Tented lodges are the most common type of accommodation in savannah. Many of them work on solar energy. This sometimes means bucket showers, limited wi-fi and no hair dryers, all in an effort to reduce environmental impact. We encourage you to do some basic research on the accommodations in your program to ensure the safari matches your travel style
