Active Explorer Safari – Canoeing in Arusha, Trekking in Ngorongoro & Serengeti Safari

This extended 7-day safari is designed for travelers who want more than just sitting in a safari jeep. Starting in Arusha National Park, you’ll paddle across Momella Lake by canoe and enjoy a short walking safari, spotting giraffes and buffalo along the way. Next, head to the vibrant village of Mto wa Mbu for a guided cultural walk among banana farms and local markets. Your adventure continues with a day exploring the wildlife-rich Ngorongoro Crater on a jeep safari, followed by a unique trekking experience into the Empakaai Crater and a stop at Olduvai Gorge — one of the most important paleoanthropological sites in the world. This mix of activities shows you a different side of Tanzania, combining culture, history, landscapes, and classic wildlife viewing. Finally, spend three days in Serengeti National Park, enjoying game drives across its legendary plains. Throughout the trip, you’ll stay in a mix of comfortable mid-range and luxury lodges, with two-night stops in each so you can rest and recharge between adventures. There’s so much to experience in Tanzania while exploring its parks — and you can do it all without sacrificing comfort!
